It’s an ok trail, Sand Pond across the road is more fun. Lots of erosion has made the roots really bad in certain spots and could easily send you flying off the trail if you’re going fast. Lots of spots where the plants are reclaiming the trail too.

I hit this trail every week of the 4th. It’s either bike or runs. Chose to run today that was pretty tough. As I came to the end on the red trail, I ran into a yellow jackets nest that had thousands of jackets. Thank goodness I was on foot and saw it before I ran into it. If it would have been on my mike it would have been a complete mess as that is when I’m going a lot faster and would have cut through the next. Be careful

Nice bike trail, not too difficult for a beginner. Went about a week after we had some pretty heavy rains and it was mostly dry , only a few muddy spots. There have recently been prescribed burns & really opens up the views. Not a lot of elevation changes , slight downhills and uphills I did the 9.7 mile loop, got slightly turned around at about the 2 mile mark when the trail comes out near a forest road intersection (turn right) about mile 4 or 5 there was some pretty fun single tracks with some tight turns, and a few logs to hop over. Overall a good ride , I visited in late January,so I didnt encounter any mosquitos, or gnats.
