Falling Waters State Park is a hidden gem and home to Florida’s tallest waterfall. It features three easy, short trails that are perfect for families with kids, and everything is well maintained and clearly marked. The park is very accessible and includes a playground, picnic areas, and clean bathrooms with water refill stations, making it comfortable for a day trip. If you drive further, you’ll find a peaceful lake at the end. Overall, it’s a simple, beautiful, and family-friendly spot worth visiting.

Went to see the waterfall with some of our church family from North Bay SDA Church. We had a great day hiking, seeing the falls and the sinkhole, and enjoying being out in nature. It is a hidden gem in Northwest Florida. Beautiful place!

🌟Recommendations: Falling Waters State Park is a peaceful place to spend a few hours outdoors. It’s a great stop if you’re already in the area, but I’d recommend checking recent conditions before making a special trip, especially if you’re hoping to see the waterfall flowing. 💵Admission: Entry was $5 per vehicle, making it an affordable destination for families, couples, or anyone looking to spend a day outside without spending much money. 💧Waterfall: The biggest disappointment during our visit was that the waterfall was dry. I understand that’s completely dependent on rainfall and not something the park can control, but if the waterfall is your main reason for visiting, it’s worth checking conditions before making the drive. 🥾Trails: The walking trails were easy to navigate and provided a relaxing way to enjoy the park. Unfortunately, part of the boardwalk was closed, limiting access to some of the viewing areas. Hopefully those repairs are completed soon. 🏖️Swimming & Fishing: One feature we really enjoyed was the large pond, which has a designated swimming area that’s perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The pond is also open for fishing, making it a nice spot to spend a few hours whether you want to swim, cast a line, or simply relax by the water. 🏞️Park: The park was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. Even without the waterfall flowing, there was still plenty to enjoy, and it made for a relaxing outdoor visit. 🅿️Parking: There was plenty of parking available, and it was easy to find a space close to the main attractions. 📝Notes: Although the dry waterfall and closed section of the boardwalk were a little disappointing, we still enjoyed our visit. Between the scenic walking trails, the large swimming pond, fishing opportunities, and affordable admission, it’s still a worthwhile stop. Just WOW! This place is magical, with beautiful trails, lake, and so much more. The RV sites are paved and pristine. Facilities are spotless. Park staff are knowledgeable and helpful, going above and beyond. Peaceful and quiet, with the RV section and the walking trails winding through a tall canopy of trees and native plants with descriptive plaques throughout. Don't miss the falls! Everything about this Florida place we highly recommend!

Stopped as I was driving through the area to see Florida's highest waterfall. It's not really tall but the water cascades way down into a sink hole. It's very neat. And not far at all to walk to. There are 3 viewing area (2 of the falls). The over look to the right, a sink hole to the left, and then the middle walk6eay leads to a close up look of the waterfall from a nice deck area (there are some stairs not many). The hardest part is walking back up the incline which isn't really that bad. It's a nominal fee to get into the Park but worth it to support the park and see the waterfall. There's bathrooms right there at the parking lot and a couple trails throughout, one goes to Turtle Lake. Worth the stop to check out if you have time. Thing to note is flow depends on the rain. Luckily it just rained and it was rated Moderate. They let you know at the gate so if there is little to no water you may want to come back when there is.
