Eddie FreemanThis trip was a last minute shot in the dark google search that became one of the most enjoyable weekends my wife and I have ever experienced. 5 minutes from the drop-off point we arrived at the spring. What a beautiful place. Crystal clear, refreshingly cold water surrounded by kids having a blast on rope swings and friendly regulars grilling up hamburgers, sausage dogs and much more. Music playing, laughter and great conversation everywhere. WOW, what a scene! Heading downstream, the trip was effortless and peaceful. An hour into our return I did begin to wonder if we had gotten off the trail but a phone call was met with a friendly voice assuring us her son had just passed us and we were on the right track! So, take your time and enjoy the scenery and the peacefulness! My wife and I lost our son to an industrial accident in October of 2025. You can imagine what our last 6 months have been like. This trip gave us a little of our life back!
