The Chipley Train Depot & Farmer's Market Complex is the location of the original train depot for Chipley. The interpretive panels are located to the west of the Bill Lee Train Depot building along the railroad tracks.

Established in 1882, the station was a stop for the Louis & Nashville (L&N) Railroad and was a major shipping point for farm products, naval stores, brick, and timber products. For the America 250 celebration, the State of Florida's "Founding Fathers Initiative" placed a bronze statue of George Washington, the county's namesake, along with the history of the first President of the United States, at the depot. The statue is a replica of the statue that resides at Washington's home at Mt Vernon. Explore additional history along the walls of the Farmer's Market Complex as part of the Old Spanish Trail driving tour, and stop inside the Washington County Historical Society museum to view the many displays and local history books available.
